Dustin's educational journey is a testament to his determination, having graduated from PUBLIC schools and earning a high school diploma from Bauxite High School. He further pursued his academic ambitions at Arkansas Tech University, earning a B.S. degree and two M.S.E. degrees. Currently, Dustin thrives as a teacher for middle and high school students in Bauxite, where he passionately imparts knowledge and guidance to shape young minds. Alongside his passion for education, he actively engages in various roles within the Arkansas and National Education Associations, advocating for the advancement of educational policies and practices.

Outside the classroom, Dustin is deeply involved in his community. He dedicates his time to farming, demonstrating his commitment to preserving his family's agricultural legacy. Additionally, his involvement as Vice Chair of Counties for the Democratic Party of Arkansas reflects his political engagement and dedication to contributing positively to the community's governance.

Dustin's political influence extends beyond his local involvement, as he had the privilege of representing the Second Congressional District as a delegate at both the 2016 and 2020 National Democratic Conventions. Moreover, he holds a remarkable achievement as a speaker at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, an honor shared with only one other Arkansan - the esteemed President Bill Clinton.

Dustin was recently the inaugural awardee for the “Dustin Parson’s Democratic Party of Saline County Leadership Award”, an award named after him for his efforts and continued work.
