Joining the Arkansas Education Association is one of the most important choices you can make to protect and strengthen public education in our state.
You and your colleagues have the incredible responsibility, and privilege of creating an environment where our children thrive, and AEA allows you to combine efforts and resources to stand strong together.
AEA is the largest, oldest and most powerful education association in the state.
We are the only education association dedicated to the idea that great public schools are a basic right for every child.
AEA is the only education association advocating at the state legislature for all of public education and protecting students from the spread of privatization.
AEA is dedicated to supporting you through programs and services designed to help you reach your professional development goals, amplify your voice at the state Capitol, and even save money on trips to the grocery store and your favorite vacation spot.
We exist to support, protect, and strengthen those who nurture Arkansas's children. Your professional association, AEA, stands ready to help you when and where you need it.
Join us online today, or by talking with a colleague in your district who is already a member. Together, we’re stronger.
Education support professionals (ESPs) are the behind-the-scenes heroes of the public education system. Bus drivers, cafeteria workers, nurses, custodians and security guards keep everything running smoothly in our schools, and ESPs are valued members in the Arkansas Education Association. We encourage any and all education support professionals to join the AEA and become active advocates for our cause.
As a member of the Arkansas Education Association and the National Education Association, you've worked hard to help improve the education profession. You certainly don't want to lose sight of all these accomplishments. The best way to stay connected is to join AEA/NEA-Retired. You can do far more than just stay connected.
It's a great time to be entering the teaching profession. Few careers are as challenging, rewarding and demanding as teaching. Our student program leads tomorrow's teachers to a bright professional future. SAEA exists to help our members move smoothly from student on campus to beginning teacher. SAEA gives you the edge during the crucial first five years in classroom.
As a newer teacher, I found a camaraderie and a group of people who could help me with any questions or just who already had experience in the field.

AEA offers great professional development. I am a classified staff and it’s not required but it’s a personal goal to network and leverage the Arkansas Education Association and their ability to keep quality education among educators.

There is power in numbers. There’s strength in your voice. AEA really works to educate you on what’s going on with public education, and how can you get involved.

AEA gave me an avenue during lobby week when they invited teachers to the Capitol. They held my hand and took me to each room, introduced me to legislators, explained what was going on, and how to read the agendas, and how to dig deeper.

Through AEA, I found out how the things that happen on a local level are actually just an offshoot of things that happen at the Capitol. To really make a difference, you have to be political and get politically involved.
