Build Communities Not Bullies
Bullying can no longer be dismissed as child’s play. More common and lethal today than in the past, bullying puts a terrible toll on the overall school community (targets, perpetrators and bystanders) robbing students of their opportunities to learn and inflicting emotional scars that can last a lifetime.
We, the NEA/AEA Educational Support Professionals (ESP’s) in central Arkansas (paraeducators, food services, health and student services, clerical, technical, skilled trades, security, transportation, custodians and maintenance) have formed the NEA/AEA Making Connections Steering Committee (MCSC) to educate and take the lead in erasing bullying from our public schools. Our goal is exact, “Build Communities Not Bullies!”
Our hope is that you, your family and friends will join us on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center on November 9 and help us in our goal of erasing bullying in our public schools. We will have student performances, booths, speakers, vendors, giveaways and other activities. This event promises to be both monumental and historical!
